After our June Road Trip...

Returning home was bittersweet; you're happy as hell to be here yet your heart yearns for those mountains and those carefree summer days! That feeling, my friends, stayed with me throughout the month of June. We puttered around with this and that, set up and re-arranged our rear deck, visited with family and friends, enjoyed dining al fresco, and nesting back into our daily routines. Well, until I decided it was time to shake things up a bit with a Sugarland concert after the Fourth of July festivities. More on all that to come...

Lexington, Ky Arborateum

A little east of I-75 in Tennessee

We came across Big Ridge State Park so we ventured through before turning around and heading back to the highway. We we're both so very glad that we did, the scenery was amazing!

The Museum of Appalachia...

As we left Pigeon Forge, early on Monday morning, the skies were cloudy and threatening to rain, but as the day progressed the skies cleared, and it was absolutely beautiful as we travelled north in Tennessee, heading back towards Kentucky. Once back on I-75N, we began seeing signs for the Museum of Appalachia so we decided to go check it out.

The entrance sign as we pulled onto the property,
featured beautiful county scenes that took us back in time...
