Today's goals...

I spent the morning and early afternoon visiting with my friend, Patty and her two children, helping her with some things. We had a wonderful visit and I'll be seeing her on Sunday as Don and I will be assisting her with moving. Ugh, I dread that.... the moving part, not helping, LOL! As selfish as it sounds, I'm glad it is her moving and not me as it such hard work; but I'm glad we can pitch in and lighten the load!

I did a bit of reseach for some submission information with one magazine. Thought through what I'll need, found some items that I donate strickly to the cause, and made a list of items I'll need to purchase yet. Hey! it a little progress in the right direction. I may work for a bit more here this afternoon, just needed to take a break and gather up my thoughts a bit more and I have some more research to do.

Tomorrow, I have a haircut and color appointment with my hairdresser, Sadie. I love how she does my hair and I may have to do a photo shoot tomorrow afternoon. I know of a gorgeous outdoor park that will be on our way to do a bit of shopping for some necessary office supplies to assist me organize my studio office. Who knows maybe I'll get that one lucky shot that I'll desire to use on my artist's statement and later on my web presence. We shall wait and wait and see what comes of that.

Don, lost a very good friend to cancer earlier this week and his showing is scheduled for early this evening. He will be attending that with his son, Shawn, and nephew, Shane. That will give me a bit more free time today to straighten up our home a little more and focus on my goals. Tonight we've planned dinner out and a visit to our local Moose just to break up the monotony in our lives, got to make some time for laughter, rest, relaxation, good times, and good friends.

My weekend is fairly well mapped out with the hair appt., shopping, and helping my friend move but I intend to get out into the studio and spend the week getting things set up and all my ducks in a row for the submissions I desire to apply for. I may have to do some digging to see if I've anything previously made to fit any of the calls, who knows what I may find there. It will be a good reminder of what I have on hand and maybe I can make me a master list of calls that artwork would fit into for future reference. I'm hoping to be working on this more and more in the upcoming week and by the weekend actually creating some art! {smiles}
