Creating book covers...

It is too hot to work in the studio today, however, I knew that I really needed to get these book covers created. So, I grabbed my Louet Awl Guide, my PVA, bookboard, waxed linen thread, and chose some beautiful handmade papers to cover the bookboards with. It took me approximately one hour to create all the covers for the four books I need. I'm updating this as they dry. I also captured some photographs with my digital camera during the process for several reasons. One, to do a tutorial on covering bookboards. Secondly, to show these beautiful book covers off! They are turning out gorgeous!!!!

I got the photographs transferred from the camera to my computer, adjusted the image exposure and resized them. But when I went to upload them into this post, Blogger isn't co-operating AGAIN so I'll save them to show later.

After the book covers dry, the books will be bound. Once that is completed, I'll start to work on the slipcases for the pair of them. See, I can accomplish what I set out to do !!! Ahhh, even small achievements! {*smiles*}
