I guess you could say that I am a "Jill-of-all-trades" when it comes to what I create. I love anything to do with paper! Whether it is orgami folding, dry embossing a small section of paper, scrapbooking, rubberstamping an image to use a variety of products and/or techniques upon, the one thing that is certain, is thatI love using a variety of mediums.
I, also, have a thing for collection quotations, both those made by famous and not so famous individuals, a beatiful poem, or a phrase. I love to see images and text combined in any artform! Recently while doing some online blogrolling, I discovered some more art journals created with watercolors and colored pencils. I absolutely adore some artist's ability to sketch and color. It is especially kewl when a photograph is used and the final sketch is shown. I love seeing how an artist interpretes the scene. Everything from the way they sketch, to the colors choosen to express the landscapes and emotions felt at the time the photograph was taken amazes me. Hence, why I am trying once agian to do a bit more of it.
My creativite process embraces this naturally. Sometimes, I'm in a research and inspiration mode, while at other times, I like to allow the ideas to brew in wait of what one day they may become. Some days the urge to create using a certain medium or to try a technique or put my own personal spin on a previous learned one is what my heart desires. But no matter what part of my creative process, my soul is in, I've learned to embrace each and every one. Even, the creative blocks happen for a reason...... maybe it's time for me focus my attention elsewhere so that the well of inspiration can be refilled...... hmmm, that's a nice thought!
