After creating with paint, inks, stamps, ect. yesterday, I saw the book that I'd so feverishly ripped pages out of to paint on and thought why not start another altered book. So, I set out to use up the remaining paint I had on my palette and painted the outside cover. After drying, I set out to painting the first several pages that I hadn't torn out. The book was titled, "Glitter" so I went with it....... using my Cavanilli rubber stamp alpha's... stamped the words, Glitter, Shimmer, and Shine! Then, tried to trim up the torn out pages from the margin just a bit. Had I been considering creating yet another AB, I would have cut them out leaving a 1/2" or so for a margin to tip pages into...... but oh, well! This will force me to get a bit more creative figuring in what to add to the books opening here. I think I may get a bit creative with the front of the book and create a bird cage like appearance to wire into the spine of the book using wire and silk leaves.
While I was stamping the words, glitter, shimmer, and shine, I thought how bluejays love all things shiny and glittery so I believe I'll make this a book about a blue jay's flight looking for found objects and building his/her nest. Of course, I'll have to hunt down some images to use; especially for bluejay's but I'm loving the idea of playing with the blue, green, and aqua palette and creating some of my own doodles and sketches within the pages. This will also provide me with a way to use up some of my more sparkly fibers and some jewelry trinkets and treasures that I've hoarded! This should be an adventure for me and I'm loving the opportunity to "think and create" out of the bird cage! {*wink*}
