A Little or A Lot.......

Seems to be the theme running through my life recently. A little cleaning being done sort of in a hit and miss fashion, and a lot of creating!

The Spring cleaning I began got pushed to the sidelines as Don & I spent some time together on Saturday & Sunday. On Monday, Amber & I got together to looked over all the information I'd been gathering to make her Baby Shower a successful and fun event for all who will be attending.

As we discussed each of the things on our to do list, we decided we needed to get the invitations finished and mailed and the games we'll play created since we're doing most of this ourselves and these will be the most time-consuming to actually do. So, we gathered everything we needed to get copied, looked at each to determine how best to get that done with the least amount of cost to us, and gathered up what we needed for each to be created. Within an hour we were out the door heading to Office Depot to actually get everything we needed copied.

While in the area, we made a quick stop into GFS to check prices and pick up plates, cups, and plastic silverware in quantity. We went ahead and picked up 16 oz. styrofoam white cups, one baby blue tablecloth for the gift area, and a package of clear silverware complete with 50 knives, forks, and spoons. We found their white styrofoam plates and dinner napkins in a little more quantity that we needed, so they'd cost us more than our budget would allow. Deciding we'd be able to save some $$$ we'd pick those up elsewhere. One unplanned item we picked up was a baby shower decoration kit for $9.99; it was perfect! A congratulations sign for guests to sign, a teddy bear banner to hang, a Baby shower sign, and some various other baby related items in our pastel colors to compliment our Spring theme, yet signify, "Baby Shower".

Afterwards, we went to Amber's and began hand cutting, assembling, and decorating all 30 invitations, outside and inside; added the small gift registry info cards, addressed the envelopes, and created all 30 of 2 of the games pieces we'll need. Their simple but cute! and created with in a variety of our pastel color scheme.
