I'm such a nut....

in my haste to share my news regarding the digital camera, I forgot to mention that I also purchased a 512mb Memory Card and with any luck, I should be able to use the rechargable batteries and recharger from my other digital that wouldn't hold a charge in the cam to save me.

I also treated myself to some new stamps --- not a large order by any means but 6 Catslife Press images I've been desiring and were on my wish list and the Spring 2006 issue of Artitude! This will be the first in print issue of Artitude that I have ever purchased, so I am excited about that. It is so funny that while ordering the images, I could still remember when I first browsed the Catslife Press website and the initial idea I had to use them in creating a handmade book and a story line. I was so inspired that I sat and journaled regarding the idea, the images and the text that I desired to use within its pages. Unfortunately, I will need to place yet another order to obtain all that I desire for the project but I started........ I would have purchased them all had they been in stock on the site I ordered from, LOL! So, maybe that was a good thing! {*wink} as I've plenty to keep myself busy and out of trouble for a little while anyways.

I was desiring to go get some pics immediately of Alexxis, Amber, and Chris but unfortunately she was preparing to head out the door to visit with friends who have invited over for a cookout. Pictures coming soon, I promise! No excuses now.............. LOL!

And I hope I don't come across to my readers as "look at what I got!" I'm really not that way... I am very thankful what I have I have in my life as far as material things go, however, I do feel for others who are less fortunate. I have been there myself..... as I struggled to raise my own dd, Amber as a single mother up until the age of 9 yrs. old so I can definately relate to strugglin' and just scraping by. Those who know me well, will know better than to think that of me but those who don't know me on that personal level, please know that I will rejoice with you in anything whether it is a small accomplishment, an overall good feeling, or the little celebration. I'm a firm believer that we've all what blessings that have been bestowed upon us and to be jealous or envious of anothers successes and blessings can rob them of the joy that they are entitled. Material things are nice, they make our lives more comfortable, but they don't reach out and hug you at the end of a rough day, reassure you that tomorrow will be better, and are no substitution for the what is really important in life --- to love and to be loved --- only family and true friends can do that! Having that knowledge really helps me to keep things in perspective and I'm more than happy to share my blessings with others. Anyone want to come and scrapbook or stamp, LOL! I've plenty to go around.....and I'm not to proud to share your stamps or supplies either, LOL! {*smiles}
