I spent four hours out in my studio yesterday. I have no new art to share because I went out to get some cardstock to do some stamping when I seen the CIS P/S/B's on the table that I intended to go through and provide some supplies to Amber. So I began tackling going through them, sorting, purging, and filling one with empty and full sheets of things I won't use. After filling up one to give her along with a 12x12 bag filled with things, I tackled my 8.5x11 size paper which is stored in 2 office in and out mailboxes. I condensed nearly an 1/8th of the paper out of it and still managed to give Amber a considerably large amount of printed papers and cardstocks.
Next, I went through some stamps. Some of styles I've simply outgrown while others were new that I had up for sale at one time. I was able to give Amber a mounted alphabet set and some images for her to experiment and play with. I also showered her with a Black Brillance ink pad, some clear embossing powder, a NIP VersaMark pad, and about 6 Colorbox Chalk pads --- one in Charcoal and the rest were in sweetly named pastel colors.
Then, it hit me what an embarrassing amount of embellishments I had when I thought about her needing eyelets and setting tools. So, I set out to emptying out an embroidery floss box so that I could fill it with eyelets, charms, ribbons, clips, and whatever else I could find for her to use in Alexxis's album. Then it dawned on me that she'd recently mentioned needing another album, so I dug out one that I'd started for her several years ago. I'd purchased one for her when I kept the one so I thought why not give it to her. She can remove my pages and put them in with her album and use this one for Alexxis. I also unearthed a package of 12x12 page protectors for her use. I quickly realized as I was putting this stuff together for Amber that it isn't going to make a dent in the amount of stuff that I have but will assist with helping me to organize what I do desire to keep and use.
After putting the things together, I called Amber and she was getting ready to run an errand so she said she'd stop by to pick them up. I think she was even amazed at the amount of supplies that I'd given to her and the monetary value of them. She kept asking, "Are you sure you want to get rid of this?" as she browsed through the items. I promised her I wouldn't miss them and that it isn't like I couldn't borrow something back if I really needed it, LOL! I'm certain that she was a bit overwhelmed and a little speechless. As I helped her load the items in her Durango, I hugged her and said, "Go make some beautiful pages for your little one."
