Meandering thoughts and ideas...

As I worked on the Lace ATC swap today, my mind was in the studio, even though I wasn't. I was at my sewing machine placed lovingly inside the back section of my kitchen. I had a beautiful view out of the large window and into the back yard. From where I sat working I had a good view of my studio door as it beckoned silently to me. My mind whispered, "Later." but my heart wasn't listening. I did, however, managed to finish up the Lace ATC swap, accomplish some other items that needed attending to, then I checked my email to notice a comment left by a visitor about a comment I had made regarding my slatwall and hanging my Dremel Accessory kit. Ever since reading that comment, I've been thinking about the purpose of re-organizing my studio, to get my stamping supplies closer to my stamping table. All of a sudden a lightbulb went off! I have additional sections of slatwall being stored in the carport! I could easily purchase acrylic shelves, wire baskets, magazine holders, ect. to put all these items right at my finger tips!!! Why haven't I realized this before????

So tonight, I ventured out to the studio to capture the previously uploaded photograph, and I looked at the section of wall directly above my stamping table. I have one electric outlet there and a attachment pipe to Don's air compressor that sits inside the wall. (There is an access panel on the side wall in the event that we'd ever have to get to it.) Now, I'm wondering:

* how easy would it be to get to a slat of the slatwall?
* could Don and I accurately measure and cut these two necessary items out of the slatwall ourselves?
* would I prefer a full sheet or should I cut it down some and what height?

I had a dream about desiring to create a collage right on my wall one day. I also desired an area to display artwork --- some of my own and those that I receive from others but I was desiring to use in the collage itself, if that makes sense. Now I'm wondering, if I went with a cut sheet vs. a full sheet, would I'd still have room to do something of that nature? Although, I could easily hang slatwall over the entire section and still hang a large canvas for my collage and display area right over it and have access to the surrounding areas. Decisions, decisions.... I'll let you know what I decide once I figure it all out!!!!
