Art Blocks #2
These are the same blocks, with different sides showing. I believe I'm addicted to creating these as there are so many possibilites of what you could do with them. Since I'm creating them myself, I can see all the possibilities of exploring colors throught the seasons, customizing them for holidays, using letters to spell out a word like, "Spring", "Love", "Family" or even using them to create one's favorite quotation or just one that speaks to you.
Speaking of quotes and quotations, I have to admit that I love them! Just recently, I while going through some of my many piles of magazines, I decided to write a lot of the ones I found down in my last years weekly calander. Now there's quotes, sketches, appointments from last year, to do lists, names, birthdays, and addresses in that little old calendar. I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to throw it away! Do you have any favorite quotes? What do you do to organize them all? Do you have a quote book or other special means of saving and collecting them? I'd love to hear them.......

I like to collect quotes too! (my hubby says I collect too much! - ha ha!) but I save them to a (or lots) of word documents on my computer. I figure that way they don't take up too much room. I am afraid I don't do too much with them tho - altho years ago I did print up a bunch and put them in different places like taped to the bathroom mirror etc.
I also wanted to say I love your photo blocks! How did you make them, modge podge? And I also didn't know what "inchies" were??? But good for you that you are making something every day!!! That is great!!!
Diane
Thank you, Diane. I do save some of the quotations I find online in a word document; however, they're never organized into any categories. Lords know I'd remember them all or remember where I saw whatLOL!
I so apprecieate your compliment on my art blocks and Yes! I used modge podge to adhere everything together on a 3x3 square. I did apply a glaze to the block before I adhered the artwork to each side. Inchies are simply that! 1"x1" pieces of art.
I'm striving to be creative everyday, in a lot of areas of my life. I cannot seemed to find the time to stay focused on any one thing thing as my life is too crazy and chaotic.... hmmm, perhaps it's because I'm an Aquarius and my ruling planet is Uranus - the ruler of change. I so long for some peaceful, quiet moments so I can focus on my art more.
