Pages for my project 365...

I kicked out my pages for my project 365
{decided to go back in after photographing these
and mark them 1/365, 2/365, 3/365 etc.
so adding my photographs later won't be a problem.}
I still have the actual daily photograph[s] to add..
as I need two new ink printing cartridges before I can print them out.
{such is life, i suppose...}

This is a page actually torn from my journal.
My journaling on this page reads,
"dear diary,"
TODAY
{February 11, 2009}
I've given some thought
as to what I want
to include in
my project
365
It wasn't hard to decide
on
"every little thing."
Alexxis's leaf....
{tucked in for the photograph... I want to laminate, then trim it before leaving it in my book}
and one of today's daily photographs...

Alexxis' abandoned tricycle looked so lonely to me this morning as I made my way to the computer with my morning cup of coffee in hand...

{sigh.}

Vintage Valentine's Day postcards...

Recently, Uniquely Myself @ http://lavendulaloveliness.blogspot.com/ commented on my "Glimpse of Home" post. In that post, she asked if I had a copy/scan/photograph of the postcard I added to my china hutch that I could share. Well, I've been searching to see if perhaps I had scanned it, but no such luck!
And {I actually used glue dots to the corners of the postcard to hold it in place within my hutch, so I a little hesitant to try to remove until I'm absolutely certain that I'm ready...} but....

All is not lost! I do have more vintage Valentine's Day postcards that I am able to share! So, please, enjoy this one! {I've a few more I'll upload over the next several days as well...}

Collecting vintage Valentine's Day postcards is something I love to do! Perhaps, I'm even a bit more partial towards the Valentine's Day ones because it's also my birthday! Anyways, on Valentine's Day {my birthday!} I'll share my most favorite one!!!
(And Uniquely Myself, I did visit your blog, tried to leave a message, but that word verification thing was horrible! I hope you return and find these! I'm sorry, but I couldn't find your email to let you know...}
Enjoy, my friends, Enjoy!

Enjoying lots of this!

So, yesterday, I was being lazy, lounging in my pj's doing some research for my project 365 {wishing I'd captured the sunrise for my first page...but I'd overslept, so I was wondering what do I want to capture with my cam today?} when Chris called wanting to know if I'd love to spend some time with this little cutie while he ran some errands. Why certainly, I exclaimed excitedly!
Ever since Alexxis was born, I've dreamed of the day when we could make some paper creations together. If you remember on her last visit, we used the Cricut to cut out and decorate the Valentine's Treat Day box, well, trust me, Bug didn't forget!
As soon as she entered our home, smiling, and offering me a leaf {LOL! Of course, I kept it...} I heard, "I wanna make cards." Let me tell you, I've created a monster!!! and that little shit knows how to use that paper trimmer!
Thankfully, I had previously stamped and cut things out, so all we had to do was cut the cards, score them, and let Alexxis use the gluestick! Here's the results of our cards, minus Mommy's "Thinking of You" card that Alexxis so proudly took home.
And I so love this pic! Chaos and Alexxis waiting for Daddy....

I did save a few things from our day together to use in my project 365:

the leaf Alexxis offered me, &

the fortune from the fortune cookie.
Ideas: use my Stamper's Anonymous "Evidence" stamp; Found Object stamp; and the above objects in my daily layout.
Can't wait to get started....

Recent discoveries...

Originally, I wasn't going to do this, but doing a bit of research, how could I resist?
Truly this should be right up my alley! So Today, I took that "leap of faith",
trusting, believing that I, too, can do this.... project 365.

So, I created the first several pages that I'll be adding my photographs to. I don't want my project 365 to only be "about the photographs" so I'll be keeping up with writing in my journals along the way, using them to assist me during this project. I want my pages to reflect that "journaling style"...

I'll be adding a B&W photograph of me to the above page.
I left a notation on the page "to insert photo of me here" and
I've put a black slide mount aside for it's use.

So, here they are! My first two pages!

and a photo of one of my two my journals with some of my thoughts and ideas jotted down. I believe I'm going to love this!!!

I just love my MIL...

Every year, without fail, my MIL sends me a birthday card. Although my birthday is still a week away, I couldn't help but chuckle when I read the card she selected for me this year.

Don't you just love it?
Mom's 85 years old this year, I believe I should listen to her advice! LOL!
